This is my suggested list for 1000pts. The shield captain on bike is the best unit custodes have. I like running it this way and I add victor of the blood games to make him very survivable. Also you don’t need 2 captains points are tight and more models is better. Also I run dread host but if you like shadow keeper stay with it.You can take 5 with Trajann or 6 with a Blade Champion and they ALL get to reroll a hit or wound roll since they can be divided into units of 1. And that's a reroll in shooting and then another one in melee. It’s tempting to add a vexilla in terminator armor to the current list and give a few Allarus -1 to be hit. Custodes can beat tau and astra. It comes down to how you play them. Custodes got a nice addition to the army qith the Forgeworld models getting 40k rules but they are still beta and its always polite to ask if your opponent is ok with that. Forgeworld tends to not jave the beat balance.

Custodes are a joke in objective based missions. Your base is so large they have to get in melee with you. You will kill every model that comes in contact with you and all you need is one model on that objective. Your 2 other models can and should run at the rest of the enemy team and slaughter it as well.
